Chippewa Valley Street Ministry Journal June 23, 2020
We are proud to announce our 8th anniversary as a resource for people in need. We serve people in need of shelter, people in need of food, individuals and families living in danger of returning to the streets. We also serve people who are incarcerated, and trafficked women and sex workers. We care for each person with the love, care, dignity and respect that they deserve. We are ever grateful for your donations, prayers and support throughout these years. Because we operate on donations only, every donation – financial or physical items – are important and appreciated. Our current need is financial donations to help cover food expenses for people living on the street. We routinely feed up to 15 people one hot meal per day. Donation information will be included at the end of the post.
We are saddened to report that one of the men, a veteran, we’d cared for has passed away. With your help, we provided clothes and food to him as he lived out in the elements for quite some time. One day we noticed him not at his usual place in town and were concerned about his whereabouts. We learned the unfortunate news a few weeks later. This is a picture of his belongings prior to his disappearance. We pray for peace for our friend.
